MONTREAL, Quebec (June 9, 2019) – Scuderia Corsa and its five Ferrari Challenge drivers joined Formula 1 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve this weekend for the Grand Prix du Canada and Round Four of Ferrari Challenge North America.
The drivers experienced a gripping weekend at the 2.71-mile, 14 turn track partaking in the electric atmosphere synonymous with Formula 1. They enjoyed showcasing the performance of the Ferrari 488 Challenge on the international stage provided by the top tier of open wheel racing; being further driven by the cheers of the large, elated audience. The drivers forged memories in conjunction with Formula 1 legends that will last a lifetime.
The Scuderia Corsa drivers topped off an already extraordinary weekend with phenomenal results including dual Trofeo Pirelli Team Cup awards. Cooper MacNeil dominated Trofeo Pirelli starting and finishing in first place for Race One and Race Two.
In Coppa Shell AM Eric Martson drove straight to the front of the field winning Race One. Neil Langberg showcased tremendous progress finishing seven positions ahead of his 2017 Montreal Grand Prix weekend efforts. Thomas Tippl laid down an exemplary lap qualifying second in Trofeo Pirelli showing true mastery of the track. Lisa Clark rounded out the pack for the weekend cataloging competitive efforts.
“This was a tremendous weekend that fully encompassed what it means to be a part of the Ferrari family,” Team Principal, Giacomo Mattioli said. “There is something truly special about driving on a Formula 1 track the same day the series competes. The fans are so passionate about Ferrari they create a very unique atmosphere to motivate our drivers further. The team and drivers once more demonstrated their capability, and they did so on an F1 stage.”

More than 3,350 miles away the remainder of Scuderia Corsa’s crew and drivers are preparing for its return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans and its debut in Ferrari Challenge Europe. The team exhibits a 100% success rate at the infamous Circuit de la Sarthe boasting a win in 2016 and two podium finishes in 2015 and 2017. The No. 62 GTE-AM entry is piloted by WeatherTech Racing Driver Cooper MacNeil, Ferrari Factory Driver Toni Vilander and Endurance Driver Robert Smith in pursuit of a second win for Scuderia Corsa.
The trio heads into the twice-around-the-clock endurance event with great momentum after topping the GTE-AM charts at the 24 Hours of Le Mans Test Day on June 2.
