Scuderia Corsa Enjoys Inaugural Ferrari Challenge Weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (July 28, 2019) – Scuderia Corsa joined a history-making weekend as Ferrari Challenge North America competed at the world-renowned Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the first time.
Scuderia Corsa’s seven Ferrari Challenge drivers had a thrilling weekend experiencing Indianapolis’ Brickyard, a circuit the Prancing Horse first appeared on in 1952. The teams passionate Challengisti basked in the racing heritage bursting from the 13 turn, 2.5-mile course. The drivers enjoyed the opportunity to experience the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum, walk along the historic Gasoline Alley and drive over the infamous strip of bricks that once made up the entirety of the racing surface.
Mark Fuller and Cooper MacNeil showcased the speed of their respective Ferrari 488 Challenge this weekend earning pole in Trofeo Pirelli Am and Trofeo Pirelli. They maintained strength throughout the weekend with MacNeil earning second in race one and two and Fuller claiming third in Race Two.
In Coppa Shell Am Neil Landberg and Eric Martson partook in a gripping weekend racing their 660hp Ferrari 488 Challenge around the historic track. Lisa Clark highlighted the Ferrari’s consistency achieving top honors in Coppa Ladies.
Chris Carel and Joe Sposato rounded out the pack enjoying all of the racing heritage Indianapolis Motor Speedway had to offer.

The Scuderia Corsa drivers have only one race remaining on U.S. soil before they travel to Italy for the Finali Mondiali in Mugello. The final round of Ferrari Challenge North America will take place September 6-8 at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida. In the meantime, the Scuderia Corsa team now turns its attention to Road America for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Road Race Showcase August 2-5.
